Driving Lessons
Pass Plus is a training course specifically designed at new and inexperienced drivers to help reduce the risk of being involved in an accident. In the first two years of driving, you are at an increased risk of being involved in an accident than at any other time and 1 in 5 drivers are involved in an accident in the first year of driving.
The Pass Plus scheme will take a minimum of 6 hours to complete. We will help you to develop your existing skills as well as teach you some new skills to ensure your safety when you are driving on your own.
The scheme is split into 6 modules. The amount of time spent on each module will vary from pupil to pupil as we tailor the course to match your existing driving skills and experiences as well as looking towards the type of driving you will be more likely to do.
Town Driving
As our roads become more crowded, your hazard awareness will be put to the test. Driving in towns is all about being aware of your surroundings and being confident in your ability to control your car and remain patient.
All-weather driving
Snow, ice, heavy rain, dazzling sunshine. They can all affect our ability to drive, so we will look at ways that we can compensate for these weather conditions to keep you safe.
Rural Driving
Country roads can be extremely hazardous and account for a high proportion of accidents on our roads. We will put you through your paces on these types of roads to show how to deal with the hazards that are likely to arise in the countryside.
Night driving
Most people learn to drive in daylight hours. Dazzling headlights, judging speed/distance, spotting vulnerable road users can add to the hazards we face. We will teach you how to deal with these new issues.
Driving on dual carriageways
We will teach you how to drive on high speed dual carriageways. Some of the things you need to consider for this module include keeping a safe distance, effective observations, keeping pace with traffic and overtaking.
Motorways
Motorways are unique roads and as learners you cannot drive on them until you pass your driving test. Therefore, newly qualified drivers will have little or no experience on how to drive on motorways. Learn how to drive with our expertise
