Driving Tests
You can only apply for your practical driving test once you have passed the theory and hazard perception test.
Your driving test will last approximately 35-40 minutes and will take in a variety of different types of roads. You will be required to perform one manoeuvre (turn in the road, bay park, parallel park or reversing around a corner) and possibly an emergency stop (not all tests are asked to perform an emergency stop).
During your test you will be asked to demonstrate that you are able to drive independently. This section of the test will last about 10 minutes and during this time you will be asked to follow signposts, diagrams or a combination of both.
To pass your practical driving test you must get less than 16 driver faults (known as minor faults) and you must not make any serious or dangerous faults.
