Theory Test

The theory test is a 50 question multiple choice test and you must achieve at least 43 out of 50 to pass this test. The questions are based on the Highway Code and the Driving Standard Agency's publication entitled "Driving The Essential Skills". There are many PC software packages available to help you with your study but we provide you with access to Theory Test Pro free of charge.

NEW THEORY TEST QUESTIONS AS OF JANUARY 2012 - From January, the theory test questions will be changing. Make sure that you are using an up to date training aid to give you the best chance of passing first time.

Hazard Perception Test

The hazard perception test is a series of video clips which tests your ability to spot a developing hazard. You simply click the mouse as soon as you see a developing hazard. More points are awarded for spotting the hazard early. To pass this test you must achieve at least 44 out of a possible 75 points. Again, there are many software packages available but whichever package you use, your driving instructor will provide you with coaching for this test.
